Camp Quarry Trails is a family owned and operated campground in the heart of South Knoxville.
The campground aligns with the Fort Dickerson / Augusta Quarry property which offers a shaded private trail that will lead you to the quarry entrance with a short ten-minute walk.
Our Story
Bobby Smelcer acquired the property in 1996 with the dream of someday turning it into Knoxville’s first campground.
He envisioned the potential to reconnect people with the natural world in the midst what was quickly becoming a concrete jungle.
As a family we’re transforming an abandoned industrial site into a lush green space, adorned with cozy campsites.
Camp Quarry Trails is a labor of love that is constantly growing and improving.
We're thrilled to convert our space into a summer camp-inspired getaway to be shared with adventurers from all over the world!
